NotYourRAM is a satirical, independent project. It is not affiliated with OpenAI or any other AI company. RAM figures and usage statuses are manually entered statements, not hardware measurements or verified facts.
What is stored
Anonymous by design. No accounts. No personal details. When you save a device, the service stores a random internal collection identifier, a random public identifier, your device type, optional label, declared capacity, memory type, usage status, and timestamps. No name, email address, phone number, photo, advertising ID, or behavioral profile is required.
A random anonymous session token is stored in a Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax cookie for up to 180 days so this browser can edit its collection. The database stores a hash of the token, not the token itself. An optional 256-bit recovery key is also stored as a hash; it is shown once and can restore editing access in another browser. Recovery replaces the key and revokes existing browser sessions.
The app does not store raw IP addresses or User-Agent strings in D1. Cloudflare necessarily processes network request metadata to deliver and protect the service. Native Workers rate limits use a short-lived hashed request IP key at Cloudflare's edge; this key is not written to the app database.
Public sharing
Your collection stays private until you choose “Publish Collection” and complete Cloudflare Turnstile. Published devices and their declared values are visible to anyone with the public link and may appear in the public feed and global totals. Cookie expiration does not remove a published collection; it remains published until the owner hides or deletes it. If you lose the cookie without creating a recovery key, you cannot regain editing or delete access to that collection. Anyone who previously copied or captured public information may still retain it.
Deletion and retention
Use “Delete” beside a device to remove it. “Delete Collection” removes the collection, devices, recovery key and active sessions from the app. A new browser or a deleted cookie can create another anonymous browser identity; participant totals are not verified unique people.
Service operation
The app is designed for Cloudflare Workers and D1. The browser may cache static app files for offline shell access; private API responses are not cached by the service worker. No advertising SDK or cross-site tracking is included. If configured by the site owner, Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic estimates; Cloudflare describes it as not collecting or using visitors' personal data. We do not display visitor estimates publicly or equate visitors with participants. Cloudflare may process request metadata as part of operating the service.
